Sally Boud

Perth-born Sally Boud is the violist of the Australian String Quartet. As a member of this quartet (formerly Tankstream Quartet 2000 - 2005), she has given concerts and been broadcast throughout Australia, Europe, North America, Japan and New Zealand. The Quartet were winners of the 2005 Cremona String Quartet Competition and the 2002 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition.
Sally has toured extensively with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (including Europe and the USA) and performed in the West Australian, Adelaide and Sydney Symphony Orchestras, Ensemble 24, the Australian Bach Ensemble and the Halcyon String Quartet.
Sally graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1996 with first class Honours. She has also studied in Berlin with Gertrude Rossbacher, in Cornwall with Atar Arad and Thomas Riebl, and undertook a long term residency at the Banff Center for the Arts in Canada under scholarship.
She was a finalist in the Vose concerto prize in 1995, performing with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared in recital in Banff, Canada.
